Labeaume 16 mai. Salon au bord de la rivière. Mais avec un vent froid qui a soufflé toute la journée. Nous avions tous froid. Beaucoup de passage, car les randonneurs profitaient de l'absence de pluie, mais les ventes étaient aléatoires. Certains s'en sont bien tirés, surtout s'ils se trouvaient aux tables aux extrémités. Ceux au milieu ont eu moins de succès, malheureusement. 

Labeaume 16 May. A book fair by the river. However a cold wind blew all day and we were all frozen. Lots of people came through, the walkers were out taking advantage of the lack of rain. However sales were not guaranteed. Those who sold the most were at tables at the end, but those in the middle of the lines didn't do so well unfortunately.

Ma P'te Bouquinerie, Joyeuse, 9 mai. Invitée par la libraire, Nathalie, j'ai partagé un moment riche avec les personnes qui sont venues me rencontrer. Les échanges étaient vivants et intéressants et le temps a passé vite. Une soirée profitable à tous, il me semble puisqu'on est parti avec quelques uns de mes livres.

Ma P'te Bouquinerie, Joyeuse, 9 May. I was invited by Nathalie who owns the bookshop to present my books to her customers. The conversation was lively and interesting and the time flew past. A very profitable moment, and several of my books left the shop. 

Mons (Alès), 18 avril. J'étais invitée par la bibliothèque à leur "café littéraire" qui a lieu une fois par mois. Une très bonne rencontre avec les lecteurs - j'ai battu les records de participation, paraît-il. En tout cas, pas de temps mort, les échanges ont touché à tout dans la bonne humeur et le rire. La biblio avait déjà deux de mes livres de mes débuts, et là elle a fait l'acquisition de 8 autres (!) Des lecteurs en ont acheté d'autres. Une matinée des plus agréables, accompagnée de fougasses délicieuses... J'ai aussi eu la (bonne) surprise de voir annoncée ma venue sur la borne d'information lumineuse de la mairie.

Mons (Alès), 18 April. I was invited by the library to one of their "litterary cafés" that they hold once a month. It was a highly enjoyable encounter with the readers - I beat all the records, it seems. The exchanges touched on lots of subjects, we had a good laugh. The library already had two of my books from my beginnings and they acquired eight more (!). Readers also bought others. The morning was highlighted by delicious "fougasses". I was also surprised and flattered to see my coming announced on the town hall's electronic panel.

St Nazaire (30), 8 mars. C'était la première fois que je participais à ce salon. Nous étions bien accueillis : petit déjeuner, repas à midi, et même une indemnisation pour la distance ! Il y avait beaucoup de monde qui circulait et qui achetait - mais pas à tout le monde. Nous étions 3 du Cercle à s'y retrouver. 2 ont fait de belles ventes, la troisième pas. A quoi cela tient ?

Il faisait beau le matin avec du soleil, mais la pluie est arrivée dans l'après-midi. Soupir...

St Nazaire (Gard), 8 March. I went to this book fair for the first time. We were well looked after: breakfast, lunch and even payment for the distance to get there! The fair attracted a lot of visitors who bought book, though not from everyone. 3 of us from the author's Circle were there and 2 did good business but not the 3rd. One wonders why. Lovely sunny weather in the morning but rain in the afternoon. Sigh.

Les Vans, 1 mars. Premier salon de l'année pour moi. Très bien organisé. Il y avait du monde toute la journée, un peu moins qu'en 2024. Il y avait des manifestations concurrentes dans la commune, dommage. J'ai fait de bonnes rencontres, dont une personne qui ressemblait à un de mes personnages dans un roman SF en (long) cours. Ventes très raisonnables.

Les Vans 1 March. First book fair for the year for me. It was very well organised and a lot of people came, although fewer than in 2024. Probably because there were other things going on in the village which was a pity. I chatted to quite a few people, one of whom looked very much like a character in an SF story that's been on the go for quite a while. Sales were quite reasonable.
