Labeaume, 8 juin. Un temps magnifique, un lieu magnifique. Beaucoup de passage autour de nous , les gens partaient en rando ou venaient à la rivière qui coulait tout près. Donc certains sont passés par le salon. Ventes moyennes pour la plupart des gens, quelques personnes ont brillé, d'autres pas du tout.

Labeaume, 8 June. Wonderful weather, lovely setting. Lots of people around who were setting off on walks or going to the river that flowed nearby. Average sales for most people, with good results for some and nothing much for others. 

Bagard, 24 mai. Cette année le salon était combiné avec le marché d'artisans qui avait lieu à une autre date. Normalement un tel marché attire du monde. Mais ce n'était pas le cas, on avait même l'impression qu'il y avait moins de monde que l'an passé. C'est vraiment dommage pour les organisateurs, sans parler de nous. Il faisait un temps magnifique, mais le vent soufflait fort parfois et envoyait balader les affaires. 

Bagard, 24 May. This year the book fair was grouped with an arts and crafts fair that usually took place on a different date. A crafts faire usually attracts a lot of people. It wasn't the case this time and we got the feeling that there were even fewer people than last year. It's really a pity for the organisers, not to say ourselves. The weather was lovely, except for a wind that kept blowing things off the tables. 

Connaux, 17 mai. Un village dans la direction de d'Avignon, mais à environ une heure de route. Très bien organisé, accueillant. Il y avait aussi une exposition de peintures. C'est une bonne idée d'avoir deux animations en même temps, mais pas tellement une expo, car les visiteurs viennent pour regarder et nous regardent aussi. Par contre, lorsque c'est un marché artisanal, les visiteurs viennent pour acheter et donc sont plus intéressés par nous. Egalement, avoir un bouquiniste avec nous n'est pas une bonne idée non plus pour des raisons évidentes ! C'est un constat que j'ai fait au fur et à mesure des années. Les seuls livres que j'ai vendus étaient des livres soldés ! C'est mieux que rien, quand même. Un temps resplendissant, soleil, chaleur.

Connaux, 17 May. This was a village towards Avignon about an hour's drive away, so next door. It was well organised and everyone was very friendly. There was also an exhibition of paintings. It is a good idea to have to things going on together, however experience over the years has shown me that when it's just an exhibition, the visitors come to look and so they look at us too, full stop. But when it's a crafts market they come to buy, so they buy from us too. Another thing that's not a good idea is to have a secondhand book seller there, for obvious reasons! The only books I sold were ones I'd put on sale, but that's better than nothing. Lovely weather, sun, warmth.

Saint Julien les Rosiers, 12 et 13 avril. Un salon qui était très, très bien organisé avec une très bonne ambiance. Une demie-journée le samedi et toute la journée le dimanche. Des journées calmes, le public était moins nombreux qu'espéraient les organisateurs, la médiathèque du village, pour qui c'était la première fois. Néanmoins, pour moi, les ventes dimanche étaient dans la norme des salons en ce moment. J'ai fait des rencontres intéressantes.

Saint Juien les Rosiers, 12 & 13 April. The book fair was very very well organised with a very good atmosphere. Saturday afternoon and Sunday all day. Everything was calm as the visiteuyrs were fewer than what the library had hoped for. It was their first fair. However, for me sales were reasonable, especialy on Sunday. I met some interesting people. 

Vogüé, 14 mars. De nouveau la soirée "Auteurs livrez-vous" organisée par la bibliothèque. Et, comme d'habitude, une bonne soirée, où nous nous sommes amusés à raconter, chanter, faire le clown. J'ai présenté deux numéros de récits avec la harpe, l'un concernant la création d'un mot de passe et l'autre un appel venant d'un centre d'appels. J'étais aidée par Pierre-Antoine Courouble qui faisait lire les différentes tentatives de mot de passe. Le récit du mot de passe a eu un beau succès.

Vogüé, 14 March. We were back in Vogüé for their annual evening where we give a sort of show. We had a very good time, telling stories, singing, playing around. I did two pieces with the harp, one about creating passwords on the internet and the other responding to a call from a call centre. Pierre-Antoine Courouble gave me a hand by holding up the various tries at a password. The one about the password was much appreciated.

Les Vans, 21 février. La Faraça, l'association occitane des Vans, dont je suis membres depuis des lustres, tenait une "velhada" où tout un chacun pouvait venir lire, dire, chanter, présenter quelque chose. J'ai fait traduire en occitan mon "anti-poème" que j'ai déjà eu l'occasion de présenter ailleurs, et que les gens aiment, et je l'ai fait à cette occasion. J'ai bien répété. Le texte était traduit par Christiane Mazoyer que j'ai enregistré ensuite et bien écouté. 

Les Vans, 21 February. The Occitan association, La Faraça, that I've been a member of for ages, held one of its "afternoons" in which anybody who wants to can read, recite, sing, etc., anything they want. I decided to get my "anti-poem" tanslated into Occitan, by a friend, Christiane Mazoyer, who I recorded that I could get the pronunciation as right as possible. 

Intermarché, Alès, 8 février. Premier salon de l'année pour moi. Une première pour le centre commercial. Nous étions trop nombreux et serrés comme des sardines dans un carré en plein courant d'air. Nous ressemblions à un rempart. Pas très accueillant pour le public - qui nous a ignorés d'ailleurs. Dommage. Les ventes n'ont pas été brillants pour la plupart d'entre nous.

Intermarché, Alès, 8 February. The first book fair for me and the first one the commercial centre had organised. There were too many of us and we were squashed together like sardines in a square right in a draught. We looked like castle ramparts! It wasn't very welcoming for the passers-by, who ignored us for the most part. It was a pity. So sales were not good for most of us.
